Age and Birthday: Kinnison is around 14-15 in the game, and was born in 443 Sun Calendar, same year as the kidnapping of Queen Sara and Prince Luca due to Mayor Darrel’s treachery. Using the Viki Excuse, he’d be around 19 in this game, for the sake of having Shiro still with him. Since no one knows where he came from, who he really is and lineage are a mystery.
Appearance: Kinnison is about 170 centimeters (around 5’8), with dark, oak-brown hair and hazel eyes. He’s usually seen smiling; his face is very open and friendly. As always by his side is Shiro, his white wolf.
Personality: After living in the forest for just about his entire life, Kinnison is in his element in Ryube. He has a strong sense of justice when it comes to nature and the land. In a city-type setting, he’s a little unsure of himself. He best knows the trees and rivers of the forest and the laws of the wild. Cobbled streets and table manners? What? He’s kind and generous, if maybe a little naive in a “civilized setting”. But he won’t be brought down by that! This boy isn’t shy at all, and if anyone needs a friendly face or an ear to listen to them, Kinnison is the one to go to for that.
Weapons: He has three bows: Light Bow, Ranger Bow, and Hunter Bow.
Skills/Special Abilities: Being an archer, Kinnison has a sharp eye. His other special skill is talking to the animals.
Other Abilities: Kinnison can hike and scale trees with ease, as well as swim, build fires from scratch: anything outdoors, he can probably do and do with ease. He’s the all around boy scout with deadly aim. He hunts, tans his own leather, fishes, and can probably cheerfully teach you how to gut a fish.
Runes: none
Weaknesses: As comfortable and happy as Kinnison is in the forest and outside, he’s very unsure of himself in a town or people-crowded place. He doesn’t like crowds very well, and while he isn’t shy in the least, he feels very prickly in rooms surrounded by people. Being expected to act like “everyone else” in social settings are almost traumatizing—he’s lived his life in the forest, only leaving it to join up with Viktor to help save the land. But what that was done, he went back to his beloved Ryube forest, leaving only to visit Ayda in her neck of the woods—so when he has to get around in the Castle, it’s like a fish out of water.
History: Kinnison showed up in the Ryube Forest; no one knows how he got there, who his parents are, or what he really is (can a regular person truly grow up from infancy to adulthood in the forest by itself?). He was born in IS 443, but as to who Kinnison’s parents were, nobody knows, not even the cheerful archer himself.
Kinnison has vague memories of waking up one morning and crawling over to a large, plush cluster of clover, nuzzling into them and falling asleep with the wind smoothing his hair and the smell of clean, solid soil around him. When he woke up again, a small furry body was pressed next to his; pudgy hands petted the white fur and a voice in his young mind spoke ::Shiro::, and thus the wolf cub was named and claimed. Or rather as Kinnison likes to think, Shiro claimed him, not the other way around.
He stayed in the forest with Shiro, living his life in harmony with the land. He did not leave it, and did not attack anyone passing through, and Kinnison truly didn’t mind his solitude. He had Shiro, he had the other animals, and left only to join up with Viktor’s mercenaries to help defeat the Highland Soldiers who were destroying everything in their path, including the land and animals therein.
After Riou’s victory, Kinnison left the Allied Forces to return to the forests around Ryube, taking Shiro and a new-found crush on a fellow fighter and nature lover, the lovely Ayda, with him. Before being transported to the castle, Kinnison spent long, breezy days in his forest home with Shiro and visiting with Ayda in her forest home (she once said a few things to make the happy archer blush!). Man and nature must always be in balance to him, and finding himself in such a strange place was teetered his balance just a bit.
